Functional Overview: Sells Harmar products to network of government purchasers and hospitals.

Reports to: VA Sales Supervisor

Deliverables: Building opportunities within the company systems that lead to new sales orders, accurate quote building on information received from customers

Duties: Communicate with government purchaser via phone, email and fax. Interpreting their product needs and transferring them into SalesForce Customer Management System (CMS) to quote, follow up and prospect new business

Answer customer questions about products, prices, qualification form government contracts, availability and product use along with proper application on products

Contact regular and prospective customers to generate orders and explain product features

Recommend products to customers based on their needs

Organize and maintain contact with key assigned accounts

Must be willing to travel occasionally to VA and Trade Shows when necessary

Other duties as assigned

Key Accountabilities: Accurate order entry, inbound and outbound calls, sales based on company goals and targets

Work Environment: Primarily in climate-controlled office environment with some exposure to non-climate controlled warehouse

Requirements: 2 + years of previous sales, preferable within the durable medical equipment and/or related field

Education: High Schools Diploma or GED

Skills: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products, Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service to include customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for service and evaluations of customer satisfaction, Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting, talking to others to convey information effectively, attention to detail and accuracy of orders
