Job Responsibilities 




  • Work closely with Veterans Administration to connect Veterans to services. 






  • Meets the department’s pre-determined goals of number of people assessed and enrolled into program. 






  • Provides housing options for clients in need of immediate shelter. 






  • Track and record client activities in accordance with program guidelines. 






  • Conduct assessments and screenings for potential clients. 






  • Collaborates with the Business Developer to ensure success with placement and 






  • retention. 






  • Instructs and/or facilitates training in the area Job Preparation, Job Search and Life Skills. 






  • Provides one-on-one counseling and mentoring with clients to overcome barriers and obstacles. 






  • Performs outreach and educates potential clients and service providers about Goodwill Programs. 






  • Coordinates and links services for clients throughout the community. 






  • Represents Goodwill Industries in the community through participation in appropriate organizations, agencies and groups, and through media. 






  • Collects, interprets and disseminates relevant employment data and information. 






  • Adheres to all relevant operational and reporting requirements and standards of the Mission 






  • Services Department. 






  • Performs other duties as requested. 




Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications/Experience 




  • CAADE/CADAC Certified preferred but not required. 






  • United States Veteran preferred 






  • Knowledge of Veteran culture and Veterans benefits preferred. 






  • Preferably possess vehicle, insurance, CDL and excellent driving record 




 


Required Qualifications:                                                                                                                  




  • Must have Case Management experience.  






  • Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office required.

  • Computer, telephone, copy and FAX machines

Working conditions 


The job is performed indoors in a climatically controlled setting in cooperation with co-workers. There is regular contact with the public, business and community agencies. The position requires minimal supervision. 


 


Emotional Effort 


Moderate: Occasional short deadlines. The work environment is occasionally hectic with occasional high activity, with great emphasis on teamwork. 


 


Physical requirements 


The job involves sedentary and light work. Light work requires lifting no more than 20 lbs and frequent lifting and or carrying items weighing 10 lbs.  


Light work differs from sedentary work in that it requires substantially more walking and standing, and the lifting required is frequent; or that repetitive manipulation of clothing or other items while seated or standing is frequent. 


 


Pay range 


$28.00 hourly
